My tryst with Fall...

The most fascinating thing to me during Fall, are the leaves shedding their summer acquired fleshy green robes and opting for the crisp airy attires with earthy tones. These transformations of Nature remind us that change is constant and beautiful.
One of my favorite roads during this season, is a curvy county road on the way to my office. This two mile stretch is lined with such pretty foliage that it could offer competition to the Fall colors of the Great Smoky Mountains. Often on windy mornings, the windscreen gets splattered with peaceful hues of reds, oranges and yellows a la "Mohabbatein" style. And as the single lane road winds around the undulating topography, I truly feel like a Yash Chopra heroine albeit minus the open convertible and the chiffon sarees. This is my much cherished morning drive to the office, watching the deciduous panorama unfold its beauty. The journey enriched more with the aroma of a freshly brewed coffee in hand coupled with caressing whispers of the breeze in my ears and a song of hope in my heart.
Now as the pale winter beckons round the corner, I can hardly wait for next Fall to come and rework its magic on me all over again.
